Frequently asked questions.
The questions that come up most before working together, answered straight. If yours is not here, email me and ask it directly.
Who is Marios Fakiolas?
I am CTO at Omilia, where I lead 200 engineers building conversational AI for Fortune 500 enterprises. I founded HelloWorld PC and co-founded SearchX. Before tech I spent 13 years as a Hellenic Navy officer, including a 30-month warship command. I am based in Athens.
What does the advisory work cover?
Engineering leadership, organisational design, and scaling teams along with the leaders who run them. As a tech entrepreneur I also advise on building new products and starting companies from zero.
Is there work you will not take on?
Yes. My advisory is non-competing, so anything that competes with Omilia is off the table. If you are unsure whether your case qualifies, ask me before you plan around it.
Who is the mentoring for?
Engineering leaders, CTOs, and founders navigating scale. I aim it at people already in the seat or moving into it, rather than at early-career engineers.
Do the books and guides cost anything?
No. From Prompt to Loop is free in full, all 39 pages, in exchange for an email address. Part I of The Rookie Manager is free as well, and I expect the complete book in September 2026.
What happens to my email address if I download a guide?
It goes to Kit, the email provider behind my signup forms, and I use it to send you the guide and occasional writing. You can unsubscribe from any email. My privacy policy explains what is stored and how to have it removed.
How do I get in touch?
A direct email is the fastest route and it reaches me rather than an assistant. My contact page has the address along with what I am currently open to.
Still have a question? The contact page covers what I am open to, and the privacy policy covers what happens to your data.
