Rome was not built in a day, but they were laying bricks every hour

We live in an era where everyone wants to go lightning fast, be productive as hell while using efficiently a bunch of frameworks and techniques to track time spent, measure productivity and improve focus. Why? To earn hell more of course!!

People right after graduating from university want to be pioneers and attract investors' and Venture Capitals' interest, make a huge impact right from the start and get enlisted in the 30 under 30s or 40 under 40s lists. If not, they are failures.

Everyone dreams of making an income of 6 digits in twenties if possible, retire in early thirties, become an entrepreneur as soon as possible, build a portfolio of investments, have no boss, be a charismatic leader and many more. Many times all these way before learning to do the job or getting battle-tested experience in the field.

We forget one thing though. Why are we doing this? Where is the fun? Because if it is not fun, then it will be a game over sooner or later. Burnout is always hiding in the shadows behind next corner.

When was the last time you took a breath and you said to yourself “you are doing good my friend, keep it up”? You can’t remember? Hmm, that’s an alarm.

Your biggest allies are your energy and your will to push things forward but don’t forget that all these take time. Respect that and remember to have fun all way long. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day but they were laying bricks every hour. Cheers!!
